Jacquard Elastic Band vs Printed Elastic Band: What’s the Difference?
A jacquard elastic band carries a pattern woven into the tape on the loom, so the design is part of the webbing itself and does not peel or crack under stretching or repeated washing. A printed elastic band is woven blank first and then printed, which delivers full-colour, photo-level graphics and works better for short runs.

MOQ is 2,000 m for jacquard and 1,000 m for printed; sampling takes about 7 and 5 days respectively, and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and REACH test reports are available for both yarns and inks.
Choose jacquard when the pattern has to survive repeated washing; choose printed when you need complex multi-colour artwork, a lower MOQ and faster sampling.
Jacquard Elastic Band
The pattern is created by interweaving warp and weft yarns. The pattern is part of the webbing itself, not an extra surface layer. It maintains stable elasticity. The design will not be damaged by stretching, with great wash resistance and no peeling or cracking. Best for products requiring long-term durability. Typical builds include men’s underwear jacquard elastic band and nylon jacquard elastic webbing.
Printed Elastic Band
Patterns are applied onto finished blank elastic webbing via screen printing, heat transfer and other printing methods. Ink adheres to the surface of the base webbing. It delivers rich colors and highly restored graphics, ideal for complex multi-color patterns. It offers flexible production for small orders. Q: What about washing fastness? A: Jacquard elastic band: Patterns are woven from yarns, no color bleeding, excellent wash fastness. Printed elastic band: Performance depends on ink quality.
